Claybourne provides residential care for people living with dementia based on Christian principles, in a purpose built setting, within a friendly home environment. The aim is to give each individual person – centred care in a calm and relaxed environment. To this end daily activities are organised to suit personal interests and activities, to maintain life skills.
Each person is recognised as a unique individual. By getting to know the person and their life history, we aim to understand the meaning behind behaviour and plan our care to reduce any frustrations and improve well- being. Most importantly we ensure each resident is treated with the respect and dignity that we all deserve.
Whilst we always respect our resident’s privacy Claybourne has its own Social Care Facilitator who organises a complete range of activities including crafts, sing-alongs, games, bingo, coffee mornings……and lots more.
The spiritual well-being of our residents is very important to us. We believe that spiritual well-being is achieved by nurturing the human spirit through relationships and positive experiences – be they with God, family and friends, animals, nature, music, art or other creative activities. Deacon Rosemary Coggrave serve as Chaplain and is always pleased to speak further about Claybourne as the opportunity arises.
Please visit us and see for yourself – you will be made most welcome!
